The Dalby Showgirl competition has been running since 1983

 

The Queensland Rural Ambassador and Showgirl program allows young people to promote Queensland Agriculture, rural communities and show societies, while providing an avenue for local Ag Shows to recoginse, celebrate and develope future rials and agricultural leaders.

Winners of the Dalby Rural Ambassador and Showgirl competitions will progress to the regional level to represent Da;by at the Darling Downs Finals held at Toowoomba.

Rural Ambassador

Rural Ambassador is open to both males & females between the ages of 20 - 29 years. Entrants are judged on their knowlege of their local area, show and agricultural industry.

​

Junior Rural Ambassador is open to males & females aged between 13 - 19 years of age.

​

Showgirls

Showgirl is open to females between the ages of 18 - 28 years. Entrants are judged on their knowledge of their local area, show and agricultural industry.

​

Young Showgirl competition is open to females in the below categories

​

• Teen (14 - 17 Years)

• Junior (10 - 13 years)

• Mini (6 - 9 years)
